World of Goo is STEAM’s Crazy Weekend Sale

worldofgoo

If you couldn’t justify spending $20 on World of Goo, boy does STEAM have a deal for you!  There is no way you can’t not buy this game for $5, and if you don’t, you hate freedom.  Pick it up in your STEAM client or you can buy it off of their website here.  I played the demo when it was released and immediately fell in love with the game.  I’ve been holding off on buying it as I’ve had so much other stuff to play, but this is a price that demands I pick it up now so I can play it later.  Jim did it with Prey and he’s still waiting!

So, I bought World of Goo a while ago and never really got a chance to play it. I fell in love with the demo, which is what inspired me to buy it, but I think that there were just too many other, I hate to say real games, because WoG is certainly a real game, but too many bigger games. Since I’m now spending half my day on my netbook, I’ve found the time to start playing WoG again. I’m not past the first set of stages, which I completed in the demo, but I am already enjoying it. I mentioned on the podcast that I’m having trouble running Galactrix on my netbook. The only reason I gripe about it is because WoG looks and runs better than Galactrix, which is pretty effin dumb IMO. Oh well. Long story, somewhat shorter, buy this game. That is all.

I checked out the requirements for Galactrix and it looks like they’re pretty hefty for a puzzle game. You need a 2 ghz processor, and at least a 128mb GeForce 4 series or ATI Radeon 8000 series video card. That blows my mind!
