Make no mistake, this is an amazingly orchestrated cop-out of yet another original article. I promise I’ll have one up next week. That or a review of the game I will fondly plop down some trailers for to get you pumped for wednesday or thursday of this week. That’s right PNG’ers, Battlefield 1943 will drop this wednesday on XBLA and thursday on PSN. How many of you also intend on picking up this instant gem? Hopefully quite a few, as we need to get 43 million community kills to unlock the 4th map, Coral Sea. Looks to be a dogfighter’s paradise. Hit the jump for the trailer’s for each of the 4 levels in the game.
Guadal Canal
Iwo Jima
Wake Island
Coral Sea
The game will sport 3 maps out of the gate with 3 selectable classes in up to 24 player matches. It’s also running on Battlefield: Bad Company’s Frostbite engine so you’ll be able to knock over those pesky trees and blow up most buildings. Look for me wednesday night on Xbox Live if you want to throw down in a match. My gamertag is xMidnightxEyesx. Shoot me a message and be sure to mention PNG or I most likely won’t add you!

The music in this game, is the best thing ever.
The Battlefield series does have great music. Bad Company’s was great.
Wait…
… *grunt*
Wait for it…
… *strain*
… Nope. I can’t begin to care about this game. I tried, guys.
It’s not FOR you sir.
For me it’s all about nostalgia I guess. I’ve always loved BF games and 1942 has held a very special place in my heart.
Then again.. it’s only $15.00 right? I can think of way worse things I’ve spent 15 bucks on. Like that time in Reno; with the bald Tibetan man, two cans of kerosene, and the jumbo shrimp.
I’ll never forget that night as long as I live…
